Multiple Installations Or NOT

  • hey folks again.. i’m like sorry to disturb you like again and again…
    like i got a question that i dont hav an answer to…

    its like i want to have wordpress as my content management system …
    that is to manage all my pages on my website.. but no comments and no
    such drags like a blog….
    but i also want a special section like https://www.mysite.com/blog
    https://www.mysite.com/blog which is a fully fledged personal blog..
    with a differnt theme perhaps differnt looks and everything like that…

    my question is
    1.is it necessary to have multiple installations of
    wordpress for this
    2.or is it possible with a single installation of wordpress
    3.i have tried worpress Mu with recommendations.. But somehow Mu is not
    working on my server.. and i find it too complex to configure…

    any solutions ?

  • couldn’t you do some “fancy” work with categories? have your site run in some categories, your blog in others, then assign a different set of template to one set of categories, and another on the rest? Seems to me that might be the best way to approach it?
