    Hi,

My site is still very new with just a few products however, in my product feed via my dashboard it states I have 28 issues to resolve. Most, if not all have the values set, which it says are missing.

    ISSUE:
    Missing value [shipping] (all products)
    Missing value [tax] (all products)
This value should not be blank [description] (more than one product)

Availability date is required if you set the product’s availability to backorder or pre-order [availabilityDate] (more than variant)

If I click on ‘add shipping costs for your product’ it takes me to Google Merchant. I entered shipping zones and prices. However, still showing as not set.

Why do I have to set it up in Google Merchant as well as WordPress? Isn’t your app suppose to link it from WordPress?

As it’s a new store no tax is set – again why hasn’t this info been taken from WordPress?

All description fields on all products are NOT empty.

ALL variant products set to backorder have availability dates set in the future.

Any suggestions as to why I am getting the issues would be appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Hi there @agizzie,

    Thanks for reaching out!

There are many configuration steps which must be completed in both WooCommerce and Google Merchant Center – the setup process is not automated and the Google Listings & Ads only facilitates linking a product feed to your Google Merchant Center account.

In order to sync your WooCommerce store with Google and begin showcasing your products online, you will need to complete the following steps within your Google Listings & Ads setup:

    • Set up your accounts
    • Choose your audience
    • Provide shipping information
    • Ensure your store is running on a compatible PHP version
    • Provide tax rate information (required for US only)

You can find more details on the setup and configuration requirements in the documentation here: https://woocommerce.com/document/google-listings-and-ads/

For your product data, each of the flagged issues has a few potential points to review:

How to fix: Missing Value [shipping]
About tax settings – this may be related to the option you chose during the Merchant Center account setup.
How to fix: Missing attribute – i.e. [description], [availability_date]

I hope this helps! If you have any further questions after reviewing the documentation and troubleshooting steps I’ve linked, please let us know.

    Hi @thracefulton

Thanks for getting back to me with some tips. Apologies, I assumed the plugin was linking it all together.

I shall look at the links you supplied and give it all another crack and let you know how I get on.

    Thanks again.
