  • Hi @marissagmcbride,

Thanks for reaching out. Happy to help you with this!

I’m afraid that I am unable to see what it going on in most of these screenshots, as they are a bit small (could be Google compressing them, I’m not sure).

However, It looks like there may be a connection issue between your site and your Facebook account. Would you please go to WooCommerce > Facebook in your site and choose the “Manage Connection” button? What do you see when you do this?

    Thanks,
    Marcus

    How strange!

Here’s a breakdown of my issues:

    1. “Server Sending Invalid Match Key Parameters for ViewCategory Event” Diagnostic issue in Facebook Events Manager.
    2. Selecting “Manage Extension” in Woocommerce Facebook Pixel leads to a warning that says “This Content Isn’t Available Right Now”. I can’t change the messenger Greeting & Colors either.

    Thank you!

    Hey @marissagmcbride,

We’ve recently reached out to Facebook directly to try to get some clarity regarding the “Invalid Match Key” and “This Content Isn’t Available Right Now” warnings. While no specific resolution has been provided, we do now know this from their replies:

? this warning only occurs with server to server events (added in Facebook for WooCommerce v2.0)
? it can be the result of a platform issue – which wouldn’t be fixable from within the plugin
? Facebook will not share more specific event data for privacy reasons
??there aren’t any events in the plugin’s logs with missing user_agents or ip_addresses

Facebook has assured us that they’re looking into providing more information for this error in a future release, such as showing the affected URL and the parameter and what is wrong with it. They did also mention, however, that even with some additional details, it would not likely be able to be resolved by the plugin, as it can be at the platform level.

They weren’t able to pass along an expected date for release, though did mention that they usually see some features/improvements added after the holidays.

It seems that at this moment, we’ll need to wait for this release before looking at the Invalid Match Key parameter further. Please do let us know if you hear something different directly from Facebook!

To answer your original question here, as long as you are able to use the plugin as needed, you can safely ignore these issues for the time being. Our hope is that we get some clarity from Facebook on how they can be fixed soon.

Are there any other questions I can answer for you? Please don’t hesitate to let me know.

    Cheers,
    Marcus

    Hey Marcus,

Thank you so much for confirming that for me!

I’m not able to make the edits to the messenger pop-up that I need to do, and I get this notification:

    2. Selecting “Manage Extension” in Woocommerce Facebook Pixel leads to a warning that says “This Content Isn’t Available Right Now”. I can’t change the messenger Greeting & Colors either.

Do I need to reinstall the plugin?

    Hey @marissagmcbride,

Thank you for letting me know. We’re still investigating this particular error, but I’m happy to take a look at this with you to see if we can figure something out.

When clicking on “Manage Connection”, would you please share the URL of the link that you’re being sent to? We’ll see if there’s anything we can uncover there.

    Thanks,
    Marcus

    Hey @marissagmcbride,

Thank you so much for sharing this URL with me. It does look the way it is supposed to, so something else on the Facebook side is at play here.

If you’re willing to try re-installing the plugin, I might recommend giving that a try. If so, would you please change the external_business_id first, so Facebook sees it as a new connection?

You can do this by going to https://shopbittersweet.com/wp-admin/options.php, looking for the wc_facebook_external_business_id field, changing it to anything else (like shop-bittersweet-916b2p081v7nd), and saving the page.

Then, go back to WooCommerce > Facebook and click “Uninstall”. Once the page refreshes, please try using the “Get Started” button to re-connect.

Would you please give that a try and see if that works for you?

    Thanks,
    Marcus

    Success!

Thank you so much for your help!

    Hi @marissagmcbride,

Thank you for letting me know – that’s great news!

I’m going to mark this one as resolved, but please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions.

    Cheers!
    Marcus
