Multiple issues with WP 3.8.2

Ever since the auto upgrade to 3.8.2, I’ve had multiple issues with trying to update plugins in which the install fails. I get error messages that say either the plugin could not create a directory or could not copy a file.

I managed to get one plugin (NGFB Pro) to update after deleting a couple of inactive plugins. However, I cannot get Google Sitemap plugin to update.

I figured maybe the auto update didn’t install properly, so I tried reinstalling, but the installation failed because it “could not create directory.”

I also just noticed that a newly uploaded featured image doesn’t appear on the post editing page, but it does show up in the media library and on the preview. Figured it’s more than just a coincidence.

Starting to think there’s some sort of bug in 3.8.2 that needs patching.
