    Hi
I am translating woocommerce into my language and when saving the files in the system folder, I see that there are many, many, more than 100 files with json extension

    Is your plugin bug?

    It can be fixed?

    Thanks

Loco Translate cannot currently work with JSON translation files used by WordPress’s wp_set_script_translations function.

There is some history of this issue here from over a year ago: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/wp_set_script_translations/

So it is not a bug, but a limitation. I will revisit the problems I was having at some point, but I am not hopeful I will be able to replicate the process which produces these 100 files.

    Hi

    So what do you suggest??

Who do you think can give a solution??

If I delete them all, can it cause any damage to the translations?

    Thanks

Who said anything about deleting them all?

Presumably you (or WordPress) installed these translations, so they must be there for a reason. I cannot say what damage it would do to remove them. That is a question for WooCommerce or perhaps the community translation team.

I don’t have a solution for what you should do with them. You’ve not actually said why these files are a problem.

All I can tell you is that my plugin can’t be used to create your own JSON translation files. If that’s what you need to do then you’ll have to find a plugin that can.

Thanks for your responses and your time.

I don’t need to do my own translation. It is simply because I have seen so many json files and it has missed me so much.

Send a ticket to woocommerce support

    Thanks

My guess is that wherever your JSON files came from they’re not all required and probably are the result of some error or failure to clean up redundant files. Thinking about it, I doubt WooCommerce can do anything about that, but good luck!
