• First, I am a newbie, and I could not locate documentation about my question, so please bear with me. I have found that multiple links can cause changes in my posts. I found a portion of a paragraph missing, and the entire next paragraph showing as a link after publishing. I went back to edit the post, and checked all my hyperlinks only to find that none were missing a closing tag. I also found that how close the links were to each other was not the cause of the problem. But it almost seemed as if you were only allowed so many instances of the same link in a single posting.
I am on a commercial host who is allowing limited functionality of PHP in Safe Mode, and both MySQL and PHP are older versions. Because of this I do not know if this is a common occcurence, a known bug when WordPress is used with previous versions of MySQL and.or PHP, or an actual bug. If anyone is familiar with this situation, could you shed some light on it? Thank you.

I want to add some follow-up information concerning the multiple links issue. I just had to remove two additional links, a href="https://link/" /a [brackets changed due to formatting] to correct a display issue. Neither link was in the same paragraph, nor did they cause the same conflict. One linked caused the entire paragraph to be identifed as a single link in at least IE 6.0, since that is my browser. The other link caused a section of the text next to the link to be removed when displayed after publishing. In both cases the tags were closed. In the disappearing text, what was most interesting is that there was no additional space or   where the text was missing. In fact, even though what was displayed was two portions of completely different sentences, the displayed single sentence was almost intelligent. Which of course made me question it.
While I do not know how the links are being effected during the conversion process, I know that in my case the only way to correct the displayed text is by removing the surrounding or nearby links. So am I doing something wrong, or is there an issue concerning links, their placements, or the proximity between links which has caused this conflict?
