Multiple rating plugin

    Hi! I have had a look at various plugins to manage ratings and reviews. I am looking for a ratings plugin that meets the following functionality.

    1: Can be setup globally on the site (i.e. can be configured across the site for all posts) instead of on a one to one basis when creating a post. And retrospectively for all existing posts, the idea is that any user visiting the site can rate the photo and description.

    2. That can handle multiple ratings e.g.

    1 quality of the photo
    2 quality of the description

    Can anyone recommend their favorite?

  • Hi javimachin,

    Your 1) and 2) requirements are basic features of nearly all rating plugins.

    With requirement 1)… you often have to choose (in the plugin’s configuration settings) where it should insert the ratings widget (eg above or below all posts, pages, etc)… or you may be given a PHP template tag to insert in your theme’s template files.

    With requirement 2)… you often have to configure the rating criteria yourself (ie what people should rate, eg, for a restaurant: Taste, Presentation, Cost, Ambiance, etc) in the plugin’s configuration panel.

    If you’ve tried specific plugins and not found the features you’re looking for, it might be helpful to mention those specific plugins and what they’re lacking.
