Multiple References to Same Footnote

  • Thanks for such a handy and easy-to-use plugin!

    I make references to the same research paper/journal multiple times in a single article, but they all seem to show up as different numbers rather than the same number as when it was first referenced.

    I’m guessing most people make more than one reference at times to the same footnote in a post. Not sure how they’re getting around it. Am I missing something obvious here? :/

    Your help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi there,

    The plugin doesn’t currently offer that functionality. It wasn’t originally developed with research paper type footnotes in mind. But I’ve seen that request come up quite a bit. It is definitely on the agenda for any big future updates to Easy Footnotes. I’ve got no timetable for anything at this point though. Sorry for the inconvenience!
