• Hi,
I’m making an online school yearbook site.

I have multiple user roles, like student, parent, faculty etc. and they all have the same abilities (like subscriber) and they are all free.

Is there a way I can show all these roles on the registration page, like check boxes or a popup menu so users can choose it at sign up?

Now, I have to assign only one role to the free level. I know I can make a whole separate page for each role, but that’s no good.

    Thanks,
    Scott

    Hi,

Please check the following documentation offer-customers-free-membership. Let me know if this helps you.

    Thank you

No, because that involves having a separate page for each free role I want to sign up. I just want ONE registration page, and have on it the ability to select the user role (or level) the person wants. Is there no way to do this?

Your paid field editing/form builder plugin allows radio buttons. Can those buttons be set to choose the free membership level on the registration page?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Please read the following forum post comment by one of the developers.

Ok, well am I reading this right and the answer to what I want is no?

This is upsetting because I like the plugin and I’ve taken the time to get it all set up, only to find that something that was possible in a plugin that I tried and didn’t like is not possible in yours.

Now, if it makes a difference, what I need on the registration page doesn’t have to be user roles. I just want the data of who is signing up. So with your form builder radio buttons, could I do (@ = radio button):
    @parent @student @faculty @relative

And the data from this would be collected so we could see how many parents signed up, how many students signed up, etc.?

Please assume that our plugin doesn’t do anything that is not mentioned in our landing page specifically. What you requested is not available in our plugin unfortunately. Please look for a different plugin that has all the features that you are looking for. You can use the contact form on our site and mention this forum post so we can organize a refund for you.

    I don’t need a refund since I haven’t paid anything yet.

But can you answer my last question?

    Again:
