Multiple selection hierarchy categories

Hello,

I have a doubt about how the multiple selection works with a category hierarchy.

I understand that I have 2 options, AND and OR when I have multiple selection enabled.

Let’s imagine that I have a parent category “clothes” and three child categories “shirt”, “shoes” and “gloves”.

If I use the AND mode and I check “clothes” and then both “shirt” and “gloves” nothing will appear, OK.

But I wonder if I use the OR mode and I check “clothes” and then both “shirt” and “gloves”, will shoes appear in the results? Because I have selected the parent category “clothes” and the shoes are in there, but I haven’t selected “shoes”.
