Hi, a vendor has two shipping zone set up as follow.

    Zone1 :
    country : C1
    state : S1
    postcode: P1

    Zone2 :
    country : C1
    state : S1
    postcode: P2

Each zone has the same country, state but NOT the same in postcode(eg, P1 for Zone1 and P2 for Zone2). The problem happens when a buyer with shipping address postcode = P2 added product to cart, the shipping options doenst not show the Zone2’s shipping methods instead Zone1’s shipping methods are shown. Note that, Zone1 is listed before Zone2 in shipping zones. Seems to be Zone1 will always be the default one.

Basically, a vendor wanted to have different shipping rate for different postcode in a state. Is there any other method to achieve this?

    Thanks.

  • Hi @hwsiew, thanks for the query.

As you can see (https://www.loom.com/share/de933526c5c7419082d4258a2c097073), I have tested this flow on our end
    Zone1 :
    country : India
    postcode: 700091
    Shipping Method : Free Shipping

    Zone2 :
    country : India
    postcode: 700064
    Shipping Method : Flat Rate

Zone1 is listed before Zone2 in shipping zones.

But, in the checkout, the customer’s pin is 700064, hence the Flat Rate is showing (Local Pick up methid is there, becasue admin added that option for this zone).

Hence it is working properly on our end. Can you please check again.

    Hi, thanks for the reply.

As i can see from your screen recording, the postcode restriction is set on the admin level instead of vendor level? The case of my is that in both zones, country are set to the same (but not to limit the postcode) at admin level and vendor restrict the zone postcode shipping by ‘Limit Zone Location’ in vendor dashboard. If in this case, the shipping does not work as expected.

    Thanks.

    @hwsiew, thanks for further help.
I am able to recreate the issue on our end. This will be fixed in our next update.

For now, you can track the issue from here : https://github.com/wcmarketplace/dc-woocommerce-multi-vendor/issues/421
