I really like your plugin — it’s one of the best written and best designed WP plugins I’ve encountered.

However, it has one annoying quirk.

I use it on multiple sites…and I can’t add the addon manager because it insists on an email and won’t allow me to use the same email from different sites (the blogs in question are all under the same domain, olbert.com, but different subdomains, e.g., council.olbert.com, pursuit.olbert.com, etc.)

Is this an intended restriction of the free version? I haven’t upgraded to pro because, frankly, I don’t need any of the additional capabilities.

But I’d like to be able to use the free version on multiple sites using the same “login” email address.

Hi, we can’t understand the issue, because we don’t use the email address for the license validation, and many users are able to put the same license code on their sites.

    Hi Roberto,

I’ll try to document the problem the next time I run into it (right now I’m working around it by just creating email aliases).

As I recall, though, what happens is I enter my primary email (i.e., the one I use for most of my work) into the field that requests it, and then hit enter or activate or whatever. At which point an error message gets displayed to the effect the email is already in use.

Hi, maybe you are trying to get e new license with the same email. You should instead use the same free license code on both sites.

Hmmm, I don’t remember a field to simply enter a license code. Where was it?

You can put the license code in the main settings, please see https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/installation/install-addons/

Okay, I’ll keep that in mind. FYI, it’s not intuitively obvious when you’re installing the plugin that you can, in fact, enter the same free license key.
