Multiple templates?

  • Great plugin – I just discovered it today, and I have a suggestion.

    Right now, all the Link Shortcode settings are global — every time you write [links], you get the same template, the same sort order, etc. Would you consider extending the plugin to create and save multiple collections of settings? For example, if you have links for Videos and links for Photos:

    [links category_name=”Videos” …]
    [links category_name=”Photos” …]

    each shortcode could use a different template, a different sort order, etc., by specifying a collection of settings:

    [links settings_collection=”1″ category_name=”Videos” …]
    [links settings_collection=”2″ category_name=”Photos” …]
    etc.

    I realize that today, you can vary the look with [links class=”[class]”], but it would be great to switch between templates, sort orders, etc., as well.
