I just installed version 5.2.0 and it seems issues 2 and 3 in my original post (above) are fixed.

However, it seems it’s still not possible to translate the events archive slug.

Yeah well, Meat Love once sang; “Two Out Of Three Ain’t bad” ??

    Thanks guys!

    Hi @spacewell

Glad to hear that some of your issues have been resolved with our recent update!

To translate the events archive slug, you can try using the following extension:
    https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/change-labels-events-venues-organizers/

Let me know if that helps!

    Thanks,
    Jaime

Thanks for the tip @jaimemarchwinski. Sadly this does not seem to solve the slug translation issue.

When changing the language on the events archive page from English to Dutch the url still changes from …/events/ to …/nl/events/. BTW: I have made sure all “events” instances are correctly translated in WPML string translation.

However on an event detail page it seems the ‘event’ slug is translated as you can see here: https://spacewell.com/nl/evenement/ifma-world-workplace-usa/. Sadly this seems to confuse the Yoast SEO breadcrumbs (on the bottom of the page) which now has a link to https://spacewell.com/nl/evenementen/ returning a 404.

Thanks for your response. We are unfortunately aware of this issue and are working on a fix for this bug. It looks like we are targeting to resolve this issue in our next release, which will come out at the end of this month.

You will also be notified in this thread when a fix has become available.

Thanks for your patience and understanding!
