    hi guys,

i’m building a webshop for a client. he needs the ability to let users (“seller” role) sell their digital products without managing the process. so users can create a seller account with pending approval, upload their pdf files with further description, category, tag, price plus the ability to let “buyers” ask for some changes before buying the product, for example the color. for each sold product the client wants to get a fee ( maybe 15% of the monthly total costs). is that possible with woocommerce and which extra plugins do i need?

    best regards

    dieter

Within the “Users” section of WordPress, you can define specific roles (Customer, Admin, Shop Manager, etc.). I’d try that first, and if that is too much privledge, you may have to do some custom coding. Here’s some further resources:

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/roles-capabilities/

It appears that there are third-party plugins that can do that, and you might be able to tweak some code (depending on your level of knowledge) to change the role of the shop manager.
