Multisite Network Paths

  • We have WP Multisite (WP 4.0) running 41 subsites, path based… mysite.com/school8, mysite.com/school9, etc.

    Everything runs fine with the network of sites, but all pages under each network adds /index/… before the page name. So instead of mysite.com/school8/about/ or mysite.com/school8/news/, it goes to mysite.com/school8/index/about/ and mysite.com/school8/index/news/

    WP is adding /index/ to all school pages except their home page. What is causing this/what is the solution?
