I’m trying to activate this plugin on our mulitsite on a per-site basis. When I attempt to activate it for a site, it jumps to a specific site and says it’s activated for that site instead. For example, I’m trying to activate it for mysite.com/a/, but when I click “Activate”, it jumps to mysite.com/q/ in the admin panel and says it’s now active for /q/. If I try to activate the plugin on some other site, like mysite.com/d/, it again jumps to /q/ and says it’s active.

No other plugins are doing this when I try to activate them. Any idea what might be happening? Is there a way I can manually enable it for a site?

Aside from that, the plugin works great on the site it’s activating on!

First of all, thanks for the great feedback! I will have the team take a look and see why multisite compatibility might not be working properly.

You’re welcome! Do you know if there’s been any update? We’re about to update our WordPress version to 3.5 (we’re on 3.4.2) and I’m not sure if this will fix the issue we’re seeing.

Just an update – we are now on 3.5.2, but the issue still exists with multisite activation.

Another issue I’m seeing (at least with multisite) is that I can’t add new experiments. When I click the button to add one, it doesn’t create an experiment, but it creates two variations. It doesn’t matter if the plugin is network-activated, or activated only for a specific site. I can create a separate thread about it if you’d like.

We changed the way that the system manages experiments because we didn’t want to overwrite the existing page during a test. Instead, we now create 2 copies of the existing page: One for the control, and one for your variation.

So what you are seeing is expected behavior during experiment creation.

I will have to communicate directly with our developers on the multi-site issue and see what we can do.

Thanks for the update! It looks like the functionality is now fully working, but I still experience the issue of not being able to activate on a per-site basis. When I try to activate for a site, it activates it for some other site, and never activates for the one I intended. It’s very strange.

I am able to activate the plugin network-wide, however, and that seems to work fine.
