Multisite after saving a user in a subsite the user is no longer attached

    Hello,

    I have a strange problem. When I login as superadmin to a subsite I do the following:
    – Go to the Users list
    – Select a user and hit save
    – Go to the user list again and the user I had saved disappeared from the list

    When I go to the Multisite Network Users list, the user is present, however not attached to the Multisite anymore.

    How is this ever possible?

    I’m not sure what you mean about saving a user on the subsite user list. I don’t have an option for that. Do you mean “Edit User”, then save?

    Also, if you remove a user from a subsite, they will still be listed as a user in network admin user list.

    @cannect, check your database credentials in your “wp-config.php” file.

    Select a user and hit save

    On the Users List, I can select a user and hit APPLY. There’s no save button.

    Are you hitting EDIT and making a change?

    (Users will always show on the network admin list until you delete them from that list. Per site is just per site)

    All thanks for your support!The problem was that a plugin caused to disconnect users from the subsite when editing them and saving.

    So it is fixed now.

    Hi Mika,

    Thats right! ?? The plugin was an old one: https://thereforei.am/2011/03/15/how-to-allow-administrators-to-edit-users-in-a-wordpress-network/ That should exactly do what I wanted. However it did not work as expected as you can read in this topic.

    I have now installed User Role Editor Pro, and it has an option to allow subsite administrators to edit their users. The creator Vladimir also gave great support! See: https://www.role-editor.com/
