Multisite and BBpress

  • Is there any known reason why my BBpress install (with shared users with WP) would be disturbed if I installed Multisite? Would BBpress then be available to all the future blogs created, or how would that would that work exactly?

    I don’t currently have Buddypress, but would that follow the same scenario as BBpress?

  • In the case of BBpress, it would still be the one stand-alone install. Users would have access to it like they do now.

    buddyPress is the same way – just the one across the entire network.

    If you hook bbPress to one site, even on MultiSite it should be fine. I did it without issues. It’s just … You have to bind it to ONE specific site. It doesn’t really matter in the end user’s mind, but for set up, if you use the bbPress plugin (the one that fixes your member permissions), add it ONLY to the main site.

    Hi sorry to bump this one but the last beta mentions “multisite improvemnt”.

    Is it now activable on a per site basis on a multisite ?

    That would be just essential to let blog creators to activate their own bbpress huh ?

    Tried but does not work (or missed something :s )

    bbPress doesn’t appear to work on multisite at all.

    When submitting a topic nothing happens, it just sort of bounces/reloads the page but certainly doesn’t post the topic.

    Try the bbPress plugin (it’s in Beta 3).
