Multisite – Backend Menu items not listed

thanks for this great plugin

for some reason on multisite network activated with the AAM multisite extension enabled…

…subsites Backend Menu does not list anything other than link to home page — for roles like Author or Editor

for Admin it shows “manage network xxx” rather than what a normal subsite admin would see

From the subsite dashboard AAM does show menu items without issue

any idea why can’t manage subsite menu items from network settings?
