• Hello,

Thank you for this plugin. I have been using it on single install for years.

I installed it on a WP multisite (8 sites), activated it as network only, configured my job, but it doesn’t work as excepted.
My job backups, database only (all tables), daily, to Dropbox.

But everyday I have a 8 backup files instead of having only one backup for the whole multisite. Each of the 8 files have the same size, like if the job is executed for each site.

Is it normal, or how can I avoid this?

    Thank you for your help.
    Kind regards

Version 3.4.1 still works fine so I’m skeptical that it is a WordPress Cron issue. I’ve switched to using EasyCron and will see how it goes.

Has this problem being resolved? We are also having similar issue with multisite wordpress. Strange thing is, we have one staging and one live. The one in staging is working fine but the one in live is having multiple backups.

Not fixed yet. Still having issues.

    To recap:

    • BackWPUp is Network activated.
    • Got 4 subsites. Daily backup is running.
    • 4 files are created each time. They all have a different hash and contain exactly the same files and DB backup.
    • Test using ALTERNATE_WP_CRON. Seems daily backup schedule was not working for several weeks.
    • Set up manual cron on server. Deactivated WP CRON using DISABLE_WP_CRON. Still 4 backup file are created.
    • Create two additional subsites on network. Now I get 6 identical backup files in storage.
    • Unfortunately these duplicate backups files count towards the File Deletion rule on local and remote storage. So I would have to use multiple of 6 to ensure I keep a number of days worth of backup.
    • I recreated the backup job just in case there was some legacy settings lurking around. Still no success.

Please can you fix the Network version of the plugin? I am happy to provide more details if necessary.

I’m still having this issue as well. I am continuing to use 3.4.1 as it doesn’t have this problem.

@duongcuong96 the solution seems to work fine now.

@duongcuong96, when will this fix be included in stable release?
