Multisite: Blog as sub-subdirectory

  • Hey guys,

    how can i “simulate” a blog of a multisite as located in a sub-subdirectory?

    The case is
    We have two blogs for two languages – “en” and “de” in a mulitsite installation. The required URL-design defines them (must-have) as located in

    https://www.oursite.com/en/blog and
    https://www.oursite.com/de/blog

    We called those two blogs “de-blog” and “en-blog” because there′s no way to add an “/” to the pathname. Then i started changing the root .htaccess, but could not achieve anything.

  • I would install WordPress SEO by Joost, it should help with the trailing slash issue.

    In terms of two different languages, I would look at the WPML plugin as a potential solution, it may help for the language separation.
