Multisite custom menu and dashboard

Have you tried deactivating all other plugins but Client Dash? Sometimes there can be issues with plugin load priority that causes problems with the Menu Customizer.

If deactivating all other plugins corrects the problem, please try reactivating them one at a time and try to use the Menu Customizer again in order to isolate which plugin is causing the issue.

If that turns out to be the problem, let us know which plugin caused the incompatibility and we will see what we can do to adjust Client Dash for it!

i tried to deactivate all plugins except Client Dash from network ad activate one by one.. it seems that problems are with Accordion plugin and mailchimp.
the strange thing is that logged as Admin setting menu items for editor role I see all correct item. login as editor role there are no menu items.
activating all plugin in network as Admin role , all menu items are shown in Client Dash setting area for all roles.

if you can provide me your email I will send you some screenshot if possible.

Sorry for the delay.

This plugin is compatible with Multisites, you just have to configure everything per-sub site. There’s currently no support for things like “Global Defaults” for the entire multisite.

If you could upload your screenshots to somewhere like imgur and then paste the link here that would be helpful. I would rather not give out my email in the WordPress Support Forums. I hope you understand.

Hi, sorry for the delay.
I activated the plugin on 1 site in multisite installation
I tried to set up dashbord and menu for editor role. as per my message I think there is some compatibility problem on mailchimp and accordion plugin.
I uploaded a screenshot of plugin setting for editor role ..

I have found the underlying cause for this, but I need to find a way to implement it that doesn’t cause Client Dash to stop working with certain other plugins.

Can you link me to both of the plugins that you’re using?

Are they these two?

that’s right. these are the 2 plugin I’ve installed and work on.

I suppose these are the only 2 thet give some trouble.. (a least.. of the plugins i’ve installed..)

I just released Client Dash v2.1.3 which should address your problem. I tested it with both of those plugins active and when Customizing the Menu for the Editor Role only the proper Menu Items appear now. ??

Can you point me to what is not working with Polylang? I installed it quickly and it appears to work properly for me with the latest version of Client Dash.

The Menu Item shows for Administrator users and not on the other Roles as it should. It is added using the manage_options Capability which by default, only Administrators have on a WordPress site.

the problem is tha if polylang plugin is active , in client dash all menu items are visible for role instead of specific menu items selected. in imgur I’ve uploaded the screenshot of menu item I need for editor role and what is visible with polyjlang active.

Hmm, I checked again just now for me and with Polylang active, Editor is only shown the proper Menu Items on my end.

Could you try again deactivating all other plugins aside from Client Dash and Polylang to ensure that this is not a weird plugin conflict? I currently have Polylang, Accordions, MailChimp for WP, Client Dash, and a couple other plugins active and I cannot reproduce this.

You could also try clicking the “Reset Role and Customizations” link while viewing the Editor’s menu to see if that makes a difference. But since it appears to be only incorrect in the preview it may not change anything.

it does not work since polylang is active..
moreover I innstalled your plugin in another site and it seems ther is a conflict with

the problem is the same .. menu items are not shown as expected for roles..

Unfortunately, you cannot do this on the WordPress Support Forums. The Admins here are especially picky about that (and for good reason). https://www.ads-software.com/support/guidelines/#the-bad-stuff

Unfortunately, I have installed and activated the “Widgets on Pages” plugin within my same test environment as above and I still cannot reproduce this. I even set my site language to Italian like you have in the event that it was somehow related with no luck. When changing to an “Editor” in the Menu Customizer I am only seeing the appropriate Menu Items both in the Customizer and in the Preview Pane.

Are you seeing the incorrect Menu Items within the Customizer itself? Or only within the Preview? If it is only incorrect in the Preview, while not ideal the plugin is likely still working as it should behind-the-scenes. You could save your changes and use a plugin like https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/user-switching/ to temporarily log in as an Editor User and see if their Menu was properly Customized.

I saw you updated the plugin. tks!! it works and it show custum menu item in customization and user dashboard both. (it require to logout and login to update menu items but it ‘s ok.)
I’ m not able to add new items in user menu. only some admin menu item are visible. for example i need to add rev slider in editor role menu but it is not listed in “Add Items”
as many other plugin or items.

sorry for disturbing you but i think your plug in is very very useful, super easy, super cusomizable..i will sponsor your plugin to my collaborators, clients and will use it on many sites. will rate 5* for sure..
