I know that this plugin is not yet compatible with Multisite. I am inquiring as to what the problems are.

I am guessing one of the primary problems is assigning the appropriate blog ID number to the imported tables. For my immediate purposes, I may be able to hack the plugin and hardcode some values to work around that.

Apart from that, are there any other major issues that you are aware of that could easily put in a bullet list so I can play around with it? Willing to submit a patch if I get it to work.

    Thanks!

  • Hey zipnar,

You are more that welcome to get me some code to make in MU complacency; several others have asked for it…

Right now I have several other higher visible bugs that I’m working through to make it work more solid on a base install. To be honest my experience with MU is very minimal so I don’t know all the ins and outs of setting it up, so I can’t really provide much insight.

If you do provide the workarounds back to the community (which would be very helpful) I do ask that you test in-depth to make sure you have all the bases covered… If you want to email me personally we can work closer to getting the changes into the plugin, and I’ll add you as a contributor…

    Cheers~

I just managed to get my network working by changing some values in phpMyAdmin after deployment, most notably the wp_site and wp_blogs tables. Also siteurl, home and fileupload url in wp_sitemeta must be correct (don’t remember if it was, will have to redo the process to find out).

I also made sure the correct php code was present in the config file.

Otherwise, it seems like all tables are exported so just making sure these values matches the new domains/URLs seems to be the issue(?)

Hope that helps in debugging this.

    Hey nat0n,

If you want to make a check-list of all your items you changed once your done such as:

    – tables
    – wp-config.php values
    – and any other items.

I can start creating a general checklist of items to code for and integrate them into the developers line.
