Multisite for Subdomains + Single Installation for Main Domain

    Hello!
    I need some help with my current project. I have a detached server running nginx where I put the main website installation on example.com and a separate multisite installation at sub.example.com.

    I’ve created a site wiki.example.com using a multisite installation, but attempts to access it lead me to example.com.

    Could you help me with server/wordpress configuration to solve this issue?

  • Please check in your In your WordPress multisite installation settings, ensure that the WP_SITEURL and WP_HOME constants are set correctly for the wiki.example.com site.

    A). Log in to your WordPress dashboard for the multisite installation at sub.example.com.

    B). Go to “Network Admin” > “Sites” and make sure that there is a site configured for wiki.example.com. If not, create a new site with the appropriate subdomain.

    C). Check the “Site Address (URL)” setting for the site configured for wiki.example.com. It should be set to https://wiki.example.com.

    D). Ensure that the WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) settings under “Settings” > “General” are correctly configured for the multisite installation at sub.example.com.

    Hello @mdshak !

    I’ve checked this once I set up the site and the URL in both these fields is set to wiki.example.com, any other ideas why I could have this problem?

    I just wrote down one more server name to the nginx config file of my multisite installation, and it started working. Thanks for your feedback and help!
