Multisite install access rights / restrict access by user role

Hi,
I have a WP Multisite install with 1 website which has the WP-members plugin activated.
Lets call them site 1 and site 2.
For non-logged-in users the process and registration is working fine. When I add a new user to site 2 he can access the site.
When I look at a user which has only rights to access site1 (via the multisite admin page), he can access site 2 as well, but only if he’s logged in to site 1 first. He’s not able to access site2 directly via the login page.
So it looks that the WP-Members plugin is looking only at access rights for the login page ?Also is there a way to restrict access to pages/posts by user roles ?
