Multisite install site only shows top and bottom of page

  • Greetings,
    I installed a new RHEL 6.6 server, installed LAMP, WordPress, created the site, everything was fine.
    I made the changes to my installation for multi-site and now the main page comes up with only the top and bottom lines of the index.php file.
    There is a ‘HOME’ link at the top of this page that will display the entire index.php when clicked. (basically shows the home page correctly) Everything else appears to be working correctly.
    I have checked wp-config.php and .htaccess files, nothing unusual.
    Does anyone know what simple fix this will take to resolve?
