• Hi,
    I’m having this problem with Ultimate Member: it doesn’t work on subsites when I move WordPress from localhost to live server. Could you help me to understand what’s wrong, please?

    I developed a sub-directory based multisite network in localhost. It comprises the main website (www.site.com) and a subsite (www.site.com/subsite). Users can register on each website and accounts are synchronized throug the network with the plugin Multisite User Management.
    Everything works fine in localhost, but when the multisite resides in the live server, Ultimate Member stops working in the subsite:
    – Users profile and cover images disappear;
    – Users can’t edit their profile in the subsite;
    – Users can’t register in the subsite;
    – In the subsite backend, the list of users shows all the informations (included the membership role) but not the avatars.
    In the main website, everything works without problems, instead.

    I tried deactivating all the other plugins but the problem persists. WordPress and all the plugins are up to date.

    Is this problem already known? Could you help me to understand what could be the reason, and how to solve the problem?

    Thank you very much.

    Ivo

    Hi @ivo12.

    Can you please add some details on how you migrated the local site to live site? Also, have you tried doing a search-and-replace media URLs and domain?

    You can follow this link for instruction on changing your domain name and URLs: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Moving_WordPress#Changing_Your_Domain_Name_and_URLs

    Thanks.

    Thanks for the reply!

    First, I migrated the local site using wp migrate db to change the URLs properly, and ftp to transfer files.

    Then, in order to verify if it was due to an incorrect migration I have removed the site from the live server, and I have installed a new wp multisite there. After that, I have installed Ultimate Member, but the subsite shows the same problem.

    So I tried to migrate this test website to localhost and the problem desappears.

    I think the issue is relating to the file um-filters-file.php, but I’m not sure.

    Please, I really need to figure out what is wrong.

    Thank you so much!

    Thanks for the additional info. Can you please check if there are still broken image urls when you deactivate the UM and see if the URLs of broken images are using your live site’s domain?

    Thanks.

    No, there are not broken image urls when the plugin is deactivated. All the other functionalities work fine.

    I can see that, when UM is activated in the live website, the users profile and cover photos are empty in the subsite. If I right click on user profile/cover photo to show the html code, there is not the image url.

    It is like UM, in the subsite, is not able to keep the pictures that are located in the “ultimatemember” directory.

    Are the users’ cache cleared on the UM dashboard?

    (@ivo12)

    Yes is cleared and user caching stopped but the problem is still there.

    Thanks for the response. Can you please provide the link to your website so we can further investigate?

    Thanks.

    Thank you too.

    This is the test website that I have installed in the server. So it is a fresh installation of WordPress with UM.

    This one is the page of a user profile in the main website
    https://destinationature.com/user/1/

    And this is the page of the same user profile in the subsite
    https://destinationature.com/it/user/1/

    As you can see, UM doesn’t get the profile and cover images in the subsite.

    Thanks

    Hi,
    what do you think this issue is about? Knowing at least the reason could help me to understand how to solve it.
    Thanks!

    Hi @ivo12,

    Can you please check if both sites have the same meta keys of fields on a form?

    Thanks.
