multisite issues

I had a problem this morning with redirections on my multisite re: http/https. I couldn’t get into admin because it was trying to go to http and I have ssl on my server. Narrowed it down to white labes cms by deactivating plugins. I reactivated wl cms on the main site and subsites individually rather than network activate and it fixed it. Just an fyi.
My current problem is trying to hide the screen options and help drop down. In my case, I’m using paid membership pro to sign people up and it automatically creates a site for them at the end of checkout but assigns them admin role. I’ve used User Role Editor to trim menus by removing capabilities from admin. This is not a problem as multisite still has super-admin so I’m not locking myself out or anything. The only problem is, wl cms doesn’t hide the help and screen option drops from admin.
I don’t want to hack into the plugin because it would just get changed back on an update.
I’m thinking a tiny one file plugin would do the trick but I don’t know enough php to write one. Any chance you could tell me what code to put in?
