MultiSite Network. Getting error on subsites.

I have WordPress MultiSite enabled. I am using domains.
The primary site is absurd.link
The subsite is wiccans.link

I am able to start new conversations and use the messenger on the main site absurd.link without issue.
On the subsite I get “Message was not sent. Please try again.” when attempting to start a new conversation with anyone.
I have tried to have the pluging both network activated, and also only activated through the plugins dashboard of the two individual sites.
