Multisite on main domain and subdomain

  • I have set up WordPress on my main domain in a sub-directory (public_html/WordPress) pixadore.in

    Now, i want to create a test multisite on a sub-domain ex: test.pixadore.in without affecting main site at all.

    I have created the sub-domain from cPanel and it creates a folder (public_html/test).

    My question is, can I install WordPress in test? Is it possible to have two independent WordPress installs in two sub-folders of public_html – one as primary and one as sub-domain?

    Yes.

    No, but only because the concept of a Multisite Network is that everything’s in one WordPress install, not two. So they aren’t primary and sub-domain, they’re just separate sites.
