Multisite or buddypress?

    The full answer is: Multisite and BuddyPress are not the same thing and serve two different purposes.

    Multisite lets your website visitors create their own WordPress site, while BuddyPress simply gives your website visitors a user profile and a space to post and communicate on the same site.

    doesnt buddy press just give you the admin functions for your group?

    I’m not quite sure what you are trying to setup. Do you want to setup a online forum or a online social network or both?

    BuddyPress doesn’t NEED Multisite. If you need each clan to have their own blog use Multisite. If you need them to just have a group, use BuddyPress. If you need both, use both.
