    Hey fellow developers.
Is the https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/multisite-plugin-manager/ Multisite Plugin Manager still a valuable plugin to use with an up-to-date MU environment? It seems like it’s pretty small and doesn’t have a lot of room for a hacker to find vulnerabilities or for incompatibilities. Still, it wasn’t updated for 2 years now, so definitely not maintained by the author anymore. Do you still use this plugin or do you have any alternatives? It looks pretty handy for MUs.

  • Funnily, the plugin is on my list of favourite plugins. I had favourited it while it was still maintained.

Using a plugin that hasn’t been updated in 2 years is a pretty bad idea.

It’s been a while since I worked on a multisite, I believe you should be able to achieve most of the features the plugin offers without a plugin.

I went through the source code and it looks like there is not a lot of surface for attackers. It’s pretty minimalistic and can be used without any headaches.

However, although minimalistic it’s still a very valuable plugin in my opinion.

    Thanks for your response!

    All the best. Cheers
