Privacy error shows when I try to open this site (and 24 others) being part of a multi-site.
I have read thru the codex about privacy errors and it does not help me resolve the problem.
I have created a new super-user to see it there was a problem associated with the moving of the site from one server to another – privacy error persists.
I cannot open 24 of the 25 sites.
Yes, hackers were there but all seems to be routed.
It is interesting that the opening of a site that has a warning about not being secure, goes to a university site.

  • What are those privacy errors? Can you post a screenshot?

Yes, hackers were there but all seems to be routed.

How did you solve that issue?

I am using online scanning tools to review the given sub-domain.

    It is redirecting to:

    https://sweetblogspot.com/

That needs to be reviewed in your internal setup or with host.

Importantly, have you tried accessing your site from another computer, on another network, that you have full confidence is not compromised?

What is the exact error being shown. Please be detailed on that and even provide screenshots as that may help us help you better.

yes, I can see the redirection. Try installing WordFence and running the scanner.

Also, go to your hosting cPanel and check the subdomain settings

Hello a2hostingrj and Pioneer Web Design

    Thank you for your responses.

Firstly, the basic site is protected with wordfence, and a scan does not show any errors.

Second, I would include screenshots if I could but there does not seem any way to attach them.

third. I have checked the site link https://affiliatemarketingreviews.sweetblogspot.com
on another machine and the site redirects to https://sweetblogspot.com

Ummm – a question to Pioneer Web Design – As my hosting seems to have stopped communicating with me, what should I be looking for in internal setup?

If I put the screenshots on a page, would you be able to view them – other recourse is to email them to you.
    Thank you

More information to answer a2hostingrj’s query re hackers.

These gentle people not only wrecked my websites but also majorly invaded my laptop.

I fixed the laptop by doing a full re-install of windows 10
Description of process runs from the lead-in page https://besthow-to.com/cm/hacked-off/ to the full process https://besthow-to.com/cm/computer-recovery/

Presently working on what I did to recover my websites (not finished yet)
    https://besthow-to.com/cm/site-recovery/

    Hope that answers you query.
    Regards

    The voyage of discovery continues.
Pioneer Web Design reported a redirect back to sweetblogspot – I could only achieve that with a change of network on this machine.
OK, I just now went thru all browsers and also win10 (control panel/network and internet/internet properties
    I cleared all settings.
Now when I insert the multisite url I get redirected to sweetblogspot.
Well, it is an improvement, but need to find what is causing the redirect.
subdomains redirect is listed as *.sweetblogspot.com

I thought multisite created virtual subdomains, not actual. So where to from here?
Perhaps I need to start another topic.

    Hi there!

Glad you are solving the issues with your site and computer. Well, no, you have to create the subdomains and then use multisite (I believe).

    Hi a2hostingrj
The codex describes the multisite setup as virtual site – https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Create_A_Network

    In particular:
A multisite network is a collection of sites that all share the same WordPress installation. They can also share plugins and themes. The individual sites in the network are virtual sites in the sense that they do not have their own directories on your server, although they do have separate directories for media uploads within the shared installation, and they do have separate tables in the database.

So, what I need do is create a fresh topic and try and focus the helpers on the multisite issue.
    Thank you for your help.
