I recently completed a build and the website (originally on a multisite) has now been rebuilt on a single installation and has been launched on a different server.

The end goal is to add the redirects manually to the .htaccess file so that the website could be removed from the multisite installation entirely (therefore the rules in Redirection would no longer exist).

However, Apache rules we added work when added by Redirection, but not manually (although the rules are exactly the same, with the exception of the redirection comment blocks).

Have you ever seen this before? On multisite or otherwise?

Are you saying that the rules that Redirection adds to .htaccess are working, but when you add the rules yourself to .htaccess they aren’t?

If so, there is no difference to what Redirection does and what you can do manually.
