Multisite settings?

I have a couple of questions about settings in a multisite network, however.

I have network activated the plugin, and gone to the main site dashboard to set up most of the features. But when I go to a subsite dashboard, it appears that most of those settings also need to be applied within each subsite dashboard. Is that correct?

One of my multisite networks has almost 100 sites and it. It would be a real pain to have to set up each subsite individually – even if I set up one and then use it as a template, exporting and importing the settings.

I can certainly understand where some network administrators would want to have more granular control over the settings for each subsite, but maybe I’m missing we are your plugin would allow me to apply settings more globally for the whole network that would be in effect for each subsite? If that exists, can you point me in that direction?
