Multisite setup but can’t edit or add pages on 2nd website

  • Hello Guys,

    Much respect to everyone and hope all is doing fine?

    So i have a website for a year now and decided to setup another website using the same theme and plugins, i followed all the tutorials and installed the mulitisite on my wordpress, i created a subfolder for this new website, insatll theme and demo content, all seems well and working. Decided to edit a few pages and realised when i clicked update, it jumps into the post section and the page i was editing stays the same, tried creating a new page and the smae thing happened, but i see the page in the list of pages with a draft beside it, please if anyone can assist me to fix this i would really appreciate this.

    I tried with a normal wordpress theme and the same thing happened, because i thought it was the theme designers fault.

    Another thing i would like to point out is i created a wildcard domain, but i’m using a subfolder for the website.

    Let me make sure I understand your issue:

    You created a subdirectory type network (do check to make sure you followed all the steps: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Create_A_Network).

    When you create a page, it creates instead a post.

    Can you give examples of your domain structure? I’m wondering if inadvertently your subsite permalink was trying to save as a permalink that already exists in your main site…
