Multisite sitemaps not consolidating

    I read that the Yoast SEO sitemaps combine all individual sitemaps into an index file. This does not seem to happen for multisite sitemaps. Is it the expected and preferred process that I must upload every sub-site sitemap into Google Webmaster Tools? I have 54 of them. I thought perhaps each one would be linked up in the sitemap index.

    Yoast SEO generates child sites sitemaps individually for individual sites. This means you’ll need to submit each of your child sites sitemap index to Google Search Console property.

    That sure seems less than optimal as our site is one big website split up so that clients within our college can manage their own sub-sites. Could this be a feature or option you’d consider adding?
