Multisite subdomain question

  • I have updates wp-config.php and .htaccess as per the Network Setup screen.

    I am using Cloudflare for DNS. I have added “A” name called staff (IP same as the main domain that is working.)

    I have added the site of staff.serverjeff.com on Network. WordPress says installed and gives me the option to go to the dashboard and visit the site.

    When I visit the site staff.serverjeff.com it gives me an error from Dreamhost saying site not found.

    Any help appreciated.

  • Dreamhost doesn’t seem to know what to do with any traffic arriving for the staff subdomain so call Dreamhost and ask them for some help. You probably need to add the subdomain to the control panel and point it to the WordPress directory.
