• For a project I’ve got a main site and as a ‘different language’ page I have a subsite set up, lets say ‘www.mysite.com/dutch/’.

Sometimes when in the admin, the ROOT of the site switches to ‘www.mysite.com’. Under the dropdown (top-left) both of the sites refer to ‘www.mysite.com/wp-admin’.

Strangely enough this happens when a client is trying to edit a page in the additional ‘multi-site’. Because the moment he wants to save it, it wants to save it to the ‘root’ site. Getting the following message:

Trying to save something that i’sn’t there.’

The solution that seems to work is to re-save the settings of the subsite, without changing any of the settings. https://www.mysite.com/wp-admin/network/sites.php?id=2

But after a little while, it looks like It seems that the home and site url keep getting reset.

Things that I did were to resave the permalink settings and stop giving the client ‘superadmin’ rights and resetting permalinks.
