Multisite – trouble accessing new site dashboard

  • Hi – I have set up XAMPP with WordPress multisite. From the network admin dashboard it has allowed me to add a new site – so far, so good. However when I try to access the dashboard for the new site I get the following error message:

    Access forbidden!

    You don’t have permission to access the requested directory. There is either no index document or the directory is read-protected.

    If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.

    Error 403

    localhost
    Apache/2.4.12 (Win32) OpenSSL/1.0.1l PHP/5.6.8

    Any ideas anyone?
