Multisite, variations of the theme and subdirectories

  • My goals are:
    – using different subdirectories (dir1.domain.com, dir2.domain.com, etc.) for different branches of the company
    – using the same WP theme but with some variations (ex. on dir1 will be mostly red, on dir2 will be mostly green, etc.)
    – every subdirectory will have different content and users

    Not now, but in the future:
    – the https://www.domain.com will host the company mother site on WP
    – the site will be translated in other languages (using WPML plugin to implement languages)

    I have seen multisite WP options. I don’t understand if it is the right solution for me yet. I’m studying it.

    HI,

    I have found positive information about WPMU subdomains installation (and I have made a positive test)

    It remains to understand if a theme (bought on the market) could be declinated in different sub-themes (one for subdomains, each one with a different dominant color). The theme’s producer is not replying yet..
