multisite versus multidomain

MultiSite is pretty much the same as WPMU.

If you want MultiDomain, that remains a plugin.

So … same as before, new name for WordPress MU ??

Domain Mapping Plugins let you map domains on Multisite.

You’re not comparing anything here, really. There’s nothing to compare. One is an app, one is an add-on TO the app. You’re just getting a nice GUI interface to do something that you really can do manually, but it’s a pain.

The new multisite is just an upgrade from WPMU. That’s it. Domain mapping works exactly the same on both.

(trust me, I’ve been documenting this every which way from sunday for a couple years now)
