Try this:

add to wp-config.php the line:

define('WP_DEBUG', true);

This may cause the generation of errormessages that may be useful in pointing down the problem.

Also, if you want me to look if there is any suspicious plugin that may interfere with wppa+, do the following:

Tick the box in Photo Albums -> Settings admin page Table IX-A3: Allow WPPA+ Debugging.
Supply a link to the site, preferrably to a page that contains any image created by wppa+.
