multisite www or non www

  • Hello and thank you in advance for your help!

    I have multisite set up… with one subdomain…

    I want to change my main site from https://www.mysite.com to mysite.com ( ie without the www ) so that it matches the subdomain which from what i understand, with multisite, has to be non www … which is fine, i prefer that anyway…

    But i can’t seem to figure out how to get my main site to non www… when i do so in htaccess, i get a too many redirects message and the site does not load…

    It is also entirely possible i am doing something wrong, i am relative newbie and this is all mega complicated to me…

  • You have to set the main site to domain.com (without www) at installation time. If not you have you to manually update the database to change it.
