• So the admin part of my site appears to have developed a multitude of errors, fortunately only a couple are visible to visitors. The major problems are:
-unable to us the add media button, nor change the status of a page for example make it private,
    – the drop down menus like help and screen options in the top left corner don’t respond.
    – The loss of images from my library.
    – THE MAJOR PROBLEM though is that I can’t preview or edit any themes- this wouldn’t be an issue if it weren’t for the fact that my logo has disappeared and I can’t edit the title header to get it back.

I hope someone can help me with my issues, particularly the theme issue as that is very problematic.

  • First, try clearing your browser cache or use another browser to see if that makes things work for you.

I’ve tried that, I’ve used multiple browsers on multiple machines to no effect, I have also reset the cache and cookies on those browsers

The same goes for me… Cannot use the add media button on a post, it gives a js error:

    Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token ILLEGAL

Seems to be a problem with Backbone (Backbone.js 1.0.0)

Any news on how to fix this issue?

    p.s.: I’m using Chrome Version 30.0.1599.101 m

I was able to fix my issue (add media button not working) by installing the “Use Google libraries” plugin v1.5.2

I suspect there was some form of jQuery conflict…

Ok I still can’t get the themes to be customisable or in fact preview them. This is a major problem and I need to know how to fix it. I’ve tried three different computers and 3 different web browsers without any success.
