Mute Auto Play videos not working

    Using WP Super Cache Plugin
    Using Browser API i believe
    Inserted by widget on right side at home page once you scroll down a bit.

    No matter what i do with the settings the video plays with sound. Plugin is exactly what I’m looking for, just want it to play a random video and continue through the playlist (or not, maybe just play one) but i need it to autoplay muted. Unexpected sound is annoying on sites as i’m sure you know. Let me know if you need any credentials or anything to help out. Thanks.

    going to try adding through shortcode and see if it fixes it but doubt it will.

    Hi maspoch,

    I just now released fix for autoplay and mute. Please update plugin to 3.0.9.

    Then, in widget for ‘What to display?’ select option HTML5 (iframe) Asynchronous (or display=iframe2 attribute for shortcode).

    Hope that will work now.

    Great, is there a way to get that to work with “Embedded Playlist”? Maybe I can do the same with the HTML5 setting but basically I want it to play a video and when that video ends to go onto the next video and play that one. It’s ok if i can’t get that to happen, just thought I’d ask. Great plugin by the way, definitely what i was looking for to put in my sidebar

    Unfortunately, at the moment ‘Embedded Playlist’ has been inserted as plain iframe w/o YouTube JS API, and does not support mute at the moment. I have that functionality in local TODO, but no time to implement or work on plugin fulltime.

    Embedding single items (HTML5 or Thumbnail) does not support ‘skip to next video’ after previous finish.

    Any news about that feature? I’d like to create a widgetized video stream with playlist from YT, autostart, mute, random order and skip to next video. I can do all of that, except after one playback the video stops.
