Mutli-Theme Site Question

  • okay I am trying to make my site where I have two themes running on it. One of them would handle everything but the blog postings and the other one would be responsible for anything in the blog. I want my current theme that I am using Bauder Extreme Design to be used for everything but the blog but since I like the comment layout structure of the Mystique theme I want to use that for the entire blog section. So I am pretty much trying to create a blog inside a blog running two separate themes is this possible?

  • I don’t think using two themes in a single install is possible without major surgery. It would probably require lots of programming and configuring. Nobody ever likes hearing that, of course. ?? (I could be wrong, Esmi would know).

    If I were doing this, I would make a new template for my blog postings, and assign it to them. But of course, this requires theme development chops and work.

    You could also try multisite, I think that allows using different themes for different sites, but again, it would require some work and skill to set up. It may be the easiest of these options.
