Hi everyone,I tried to bulk report sploggers, then I accidentally marked my own account as a spammer. Now I cant log in to wordpress admin. I have already deleted the Wang Guard Plugin from my host file manager but I still cant log in. Please advise. Thank you.

    Hi joyceswiss,

WangGuard has security mesure that don’t allow to mark an Admin as Splogger.

Are you trying to login with the admin or Super Admin account?

I tested many times and is impossible for me to mark an admin as splogger….

Please, can you go to yourwebsite/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword and ask for a new password for your admin user?

    Thank you

After I have accidentally deleted myself from the users page using the “report all sploggers” button, when I tried to login, I was greeted with “Your account has been marked as a spammer”. When I deactivated Buddypress, I could login. But when I activated Buddypress again, I couldnt login and the same message was displayed. Seems like its the problem with Buddypress thinking I am a spammer. Please help many thanks.

    Hi,

You need to fix it at the database, or create a new user with the admin rol.

    – Deactivate BuddyPress
    – Login with admin
    – Create a new user with the admin rol.
    – Activate BuddyPress
    – Login again with the new admin user.
    – Go to WangGuard users and look for the admin user marked as splogger.
    – select the user and mark it as Not a Splogger and the again, mark it as Not Spam.

    That will fix the problem.

I tried what you have told me, but my main admin is marked as “no status”. So, I couldn’t mark it as Not a Splogger. Where do you find the Wangguard users? I only went to WordPress “Users”. Please advise thank you.

I know this is an older post but I seem to have ran into a similar issue today. I think I accidentally marked myself and all users as SPAM.

In order to fix this issue, I logged into my phpmyadmin, went into wp_users and changed my user_status from 1 to 0.

    This gave me access again.
