    Hi there,
I have installed and set up this amazing plugin and have just come across something that doesnt seem to be working. In the my account dashboard when I click ‘Open a support ticket’it doesnt take me anywhere? Am I missing something in the setup or configuration?
    Thanks

    Hi:

The Open a ticket should work. Generally, when that’s not working it means there’s a Javascript conflict. Please check your browser’s console to see if there are any Javascript errors on the page.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the quick response. I had a look but couldn’t see anything (Not an expert in these things though). When I did inspect the element it’s showing me that the link is pointing to https://newcastlecreativeco.com.au/my-account/0/ does that seem right?

    Hi:

The following commands will generally open the browser console. Attach a screenshot of what you see please:

    Windows:
    CTRL-SHIFT-J in Chrome

    CTRL-SHIFT-K in Firefox

    CTRL-SHIFT-I in Opera

F12 then click the “Console” tab in Internet Explorer

    Mac OS
    CMD-OPT-J in Chrome

    CMD-OPT-K in Firefox

    CMD-OPT-C in Safari

    Hi:

Also, please attach a screenshot showing the button that isn’t working (just so we are sure that we’re both talking about the same button.)

    Sure thing,
So I opened the console and put an arrow to the button at the same time. Hope that helps. Here’s the screen shot: https://newcastlecreativeco.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Screen-Shot-2018-04-20-at-11.50.32-am.jpg

Ah. We were talking about two different things. That’s the WooCommerce dashboard.

Try going to your WordPress PERMALINKS screen and just click the SAVE button to reset the permalinks. Lets see if that works.

    Thanks.

OK. I tried that one too and cleared the cache but it still isnt going anywhere? Here’s a screenshot of my permalinks page. Maybe something is wrong there? https://newcastlecreativeco.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Screen-Shot-2018-04-20-at-12.01.42-pm.png

hmmm…try going to tickets->settings->integration and clicking the save button there. Then go back to the permalinks page and clicking the save button there. Hopefully that resets things to get the link to work.

If that doesn’t work then chances are there’s another plugin or theme that’s conflicting and you’ll have to go through a trial and error process to figure out which one it is.

You also have the option of turning the link off if it’s not working and you don’t want to go through the trial and error process.

    Thanks.

Think I realised what the issue is.. I don’t have the WooCommerce Addon… Just saw that line in that page now. Is this why it’s not working?

Hi – we provide basic WC integration in the free version which is what that link is. Not sure why its’ not working. Have you tried the steps I mentioned in the prior message?

    Thanks.

Another thing you can check is to make sure that you have the proper ticket page set in TICKETS->SETTINGS->GENERAL (scroll down to the bottom of that tab and make sure both pages are set).

    Thanks.

Yea ok, I will try the error identification process and see if that helps.
Also, I did try and go to your site and add the woocommerce to cart and I was just getting a spinning wheel of death and nothing was adding to cart. Just thought I would let you know. Will keep you posted on the error process. Thanks for all your help.
    Cheers!

    Hi:

Thanks for letting me know about the WC cart thing. I just tried on my side and it worked. I’ll have or devs investigate further to see why you couldn’t complete your purchase.

So, the two things to try next (if you haven’t done it yet) are:
    1. Going to tickets->settings->integration and clicking the save button there. Then go back to the permalinks page and clicking the save button there.

    2. make sure that you have the proper ticket page set in TICKETS->SETTINGS->GENERAL (scroll down to the bottom of that tab and make sure both pages are set)

Oh, the support link in the MY ACCOUNTS page should show a link such as https://www.mydomain.com/my-account/submit-ticket when you hover over it.

The “submit-ticket” part is the page url that contains the submit ticket shortcode (that’s the page you set in TICKETS->SETTINGS->GENERAL).

Maybe one of these will help.

    Thanks.

    All fixed!!! What a legend.
So the only step I did differently (because the general settings appeared to be right) so I didn’t save that page. This time I went back and saved the General Settings page, Saved Integrations page then saved Permalinks page and it’s firing on all cylinders now.
Thank you so much for your time, help and prompt replies ??
